THE BEAUTIFUL RESORTS IN THE PHILIPPINES

Luxury at it's Finest

When you think about resorts in the Philippines, you might picture a beautiful private lagoon with cute huts over the water, a fancy main lodge with awesome amenities, and a perfect white sand beach with a cozy bar serving up tasty cocktails. But, the reality isn't always as dreamy as you'd hope in some cases. Sure, the Philippines has tons of amazing resorts that fit this ideal image, but there are also places that call themselves resorts but don't quite measure up. These so-called resorts might just be a small piece of land in the city, a basic concrete building, they may have a shower, a small swimming pool, and a karaoke machine. So, be careful when you see the word "resort" in the Philippines, as some of these spots don't even offer overnight stays - they're basically just swimming pools you can rent and usually for a hefty price. But don't worry, there are plenty of legit resorts all over the Philippines that truly capture the essence of a luxurious vacation in some of the most stunning places on Earth. In this discussion, I'll be talking about resorts that offer overnight accommodations - what I consider real resorts. I've stayed in all kinds of resorts, from small places with just a few rooms and a pool, to fancy luxury resorts. Each resort has its own special vibe, so picking the right one is key. When deciding on a resort, ask yourself: What do I want? Do you want pure luxury, great diving or snorkeling, or just a chill beach trip on a budget? There are tons of options out there, from fancy resorts to very budget-friendly camping spots. Do your research before booking, and steer clear of any thing called a motel. While in the US and other western countries, they are normal quaint places to stay while traveling down the highway, however in this country, motels usually have small, messy rooms and cater to short-term guests wanting private times to have sex. From my experience, hotels are a much safer bet! They usually have comfy, clean rooms, even if they're basic. Just be careful when choosing a hotel - ones that rent by the hour might not be what you're looking for as they also cater to the sex trade. If that's the case, look for a different place to make sure you have a good stay. Check out some awesome resorts in the Philippines! Keep in mind that this list isn't exhaustive or comprehensive, but it includes some top picks. Prices may vary depending on when you book and what amenities are available. These prices are based on data from various sources and reflect the average rate as of early 2023 so your rates may vary.
